Background
How I ended up doing this work.
I started writing code at SMK Negeri 1 Purwokerto studying software engineering, and carried on at Amikom University Purwokerto. I have taken client work since 2021, and since 2024 I have led the technical side at the company I work for now. Alongside that I teach web technologies in a vocational industrial class — which changed how I explain systems to people who are not programmers more than anything else has.
Most of my work has converged on one kind of software: systems holding records that must not be wrong. Village population data, village enterprise cash books, teaching journals, report cards, case files at a social affairs office. What they share is not a technology but a consequence — when the data is wrong, somebody’s service stalls.
So my order of attention is usually the reverse of what is expected. Schema, validation, and audit trails first; the interface follows. A beautiful system whose records cannot be trusted is no use to an office that has to serve residents tomorrow morning.
The second thing I hold to: I refuse to design from a diagram. Before writing code I ask to see the files in use — the spreadsheet, the register, the letters, the stack of forms. The workflow already running is the real specification. Software should shorten it, not replace it with a new one that has to be learned from scratch.
Finally, I do not treat handover as the end of the job. Deployment, backups, monitoring, and post-release fixes are part of it. Several systems I built have been running for years on regional government servers; what keeps them alive is not new features but that boring maintenance.
How I work
Three things that always come first.
Start from the desk, not the diagram
A village clerk, a teacher, a shop owner. The workflow they already have is the specification; the software should shorten it, not replace it with a new one.
Records outlive features
Population data, ledgers, and report cards have to stay correct for years. Schema, validation, and audit trails get the attention first.
Ship it, then stay with it
Most of these systems are live and in daily use. Deployment, backups, and the boring maintenance are part of the job, not an afterthought.
